In April 2022, community television makes a comeback, in Queensland. First online, then we're aiming for your TVs, free-to-air. Recognising the importance of local content for local viewers, we are here to fight for your right to be seen and heard, on things that are important to you, the residents of sunny Queensland.
In June 2017, we gave up the fight to continue digital television in Queensland, and let the federal government succeed in squeezing community broadcasters out of existence in our state. In 2022, we are fighting back. Petition to get your stories told through community television by winning back the right to get access to broadcasting channels. Bring back digital community TV for Queenslanders.

Community television across the nation is getting better organised! Channel 31 in Melbourne, Channel 44 in Adelaide and soon, Queensland's own community television station will syndicate content onto a national online streaming platform so that communities across Australia can watch their favourite community shows online. This will supplement our traditional digital television offerings.

We may not believe in daylight savings, but we believe in good manners and standing up for the Aussie battler. No one battles more than those that are left on the side lines. Those that the big guns don't care about--the under-represented, the forgotten, the dismissed. The traditional owners of the land we live on, Meanjin, the people who farm our lands in regional Queensland, the women and girls of this state, the disabled, the LGBTIQA+ community, the people who were forced to come here because of war and tyranny in their own countries, the elderly, the poor, the under-educated. We are here to represent you.
We are committed to ensuring that all content we broadcast follows the Diversity and Inclusion Standards.
In the spirit of reconciliation the QLD Community Television Association Inc. acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
